FAQ: How do I keep my hair healthy? 

Hair health is about the strength of the bonds within your hair.

These bonds can be damaged through colour services which can lead to your hair breaking from heat, over-washing and tension. The products on the market that re-enforce and improve these hair bonds are K18 which is the better option for fast and permanent results and Olaplex which is the best option for reducing damage from colour services.

This is why we always add Olaplex (and k18 upon request) into your colour at the time of your service.

All salon-quality shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products will aid in hair health.

Salon quality products are designed for hair health unlike coat your hair in plastics to look healthy rather than being healthy. We strongly recommend heat protectants if you’re using hot tools and leave-in conditioners if you plan on swimming. 

Treating your hair well will keep it healthy.

We recommend sleeping on silk pillowcases as tossing and turning during the night is a big cause of breakage. When your hair is wet, it's at its weakest and so the chance of breaking your hair is greatly increased when sleeping with damp hair, or brushing wet hair or aggressively. Wet hair needs to be treated gently dry it with a towel. Other culprits for hair breakage are: swimming in chlorine or salt water; heat exposure (even from the sun); tying hair up and even hormone or medication changes.
