Glebe Street Festival
So its a Sunday and the team and i are out in force. Along with half of Sydney. Handing out flyers. We have had a chair doing some hair up outside. Thanks to all who came to say hello! We love Glebe!
Musical Chairs
Christmas draws nearer, and we ran out of chairs for the first time today. Its a problem we hoped to have! And its happened quicker. The new basin came this week, and will be plumbed in on Tuesday. We now have three. The English is growing in furniture and reputation. We came, we saw, we are conquered. Well almost and we are enjoying doing things our way.
Glebe street fair tomorrow, so all clients are welcome to come in for coffee, and and if you are new to the salon ,fancy having a coffee, please come check us out.
New Products From O&M
Christmas is around the corner, and we at the English are going off. This is the busiest time of year in the salon, so if you are thinking about making an appointment before your holiday - do it now!
We have had some new stock arrive, the new styling products from O&M and the Christmas packs from them (which not only look hot but are great too) and the travel packs from Kevin Murphy. Great presents, and also great to keep your hair in shape over the holiday period.

Fancy New Floor
So this long weekend for us hairdressers, i had floor experts from Abacus floors www.abacusflooring.com.au come in and give us a face lift. Looooooooooook at our shiny floors. Wow how nice. We dont even need to use mirrors anymore.
Melbourne Cup
So every first Tuesday in November, all hairdressers love. Its Hairdressers picnic. We love a party so the girls and i went out for brunch before going off to the races at Randwick. It started well and ended reasonably messy, some worse than others, no naming i dont tell secrets, what happens on cup day stays on cup day, but you could ask Kirsty?
New Floors
If you happen to walk past the salon this weekend, you will either see workmen or that it looks empty. We are having the floor re-sanded and stained.(eco of course)
We are not in till Wednesday, when Kirsty is back, yerh! We are out partying on Melbourne cup day which should be fun, watch this space for some messy pictures.

Seafolly
Zoe and I were up bright up and early yesterday morning for the launch of the new Seafolly swimwear collection www.seafolly.com
It was held at Neilson Park, beautiful spot, not a beautiful morning, not the kind of morning for girls to be wearing bikini's, but oh well. The Hair breif was really soft
curls, beachie as you would expect from a swimwear brand.

Amore Hair Extensions
We have been in the salon all day training Amore hair extensions, you will notice over the next couple of weeks that the girls hair is getting longer, the joys of having the best hair extension system in the world. Jade from Amore hair has been with us. 
What fun! long hair with out the wait.
Road Works
Glebe Point Road and its continuing face lift, Yep its still on going. We are getting closer though and the handy work guys tell me it will all be finished for the 16th November. The Meters are not working at the moment on Glebe Point road near the shop, so go for a rock star park!
Glebe Street Fair is on the 16 th we will be having some sort of party yet to be finalized but im sure it will involve loads of alcohol and maybe a sausage or two. The Party will be our one year anniversary.
A Big Wonderful Week
Last week was one of our best. We had two new Staff join our team. Zoe who is our junior Stylist and then Saundrea who is here on Saturdays, The place is buzzing now. We had another shoot this weekend, just to finish off Georgie's collection. Really excited to see the finished product.
Kirsty is on Holiday, which will be very different. Kirsty has been here since day one, so not to have her for a few weeks will be strange. And if you want to have an appointment with her I would book in now as she is busy already!!
The Enviroment
Allison O'flynn who is the head of sustainability for Fujitsu Australia. We are super conscious of the our environment here at Stevie English. So we do everything we can to partner ourselves with companies that have similar principles Fujitsu are doing there bit, here is Aunty V doing hair.
Georgie's Shoot
We are shooting out the back in the garden today, to make the most of the beautiful light. Georgina our second year apprentice is doing her first shoot. Adrian is shooting for us, www.adrianalston.com And Verity, Kirsty our giving up some of their Sunday to help. TEAM WORK. Makes me proud, its so nice to have senior members of staff full of experince and talent, sharing,caring and helping the young guys to learn.
